The new technique of using Hilti powder-actuated fastening technology to affix the base profile to the steel substructure gives rise to new possibilities for processing steel and glass facades.

There are base profiles available in steel and aluminium which are mounted on the steel structure. The DIBt licence (Z-14.4-456 dated 21/11/2005) defines steel base profile for Hilti powder-actuated fastening technology with sides thicknesses of between 5 and 12 mm depending on the tensile strength.

• The licence can be applied for steel and aluminium base profiles. The base profile can be mounted on a primed and ready-coated steel substructure
