With effect from 01.07.2013 the Building Products Regulation (BauPVO) replaces Building Products Directive 89/106/EEC (BauPR). The prior Building Products Directive was implemented by national laws. The content of the Directive has now been revised and is adopted as the European regulation.
Starting 01.07.2013 products that fall under harmonized European standards and "are supplied on the (single EU) market" must have a CE label and Declaration of Performance (DoP) pursuant to the new BauPVO and must be traceable.
When it comes to locks and fittings, the CE label and traceability of products apply to escape and rescue routes or to fire and smoke control requirements.
esco now provides you with the assurance that you will be prepared for 01.07.2013. We have drawn up the corresponding declarations of performance for our systeQ lock products (systeQ-S and systeQ-M). For this purpose, our new systeQ brochure has the QR codes that will lead you directly to these declarations of performance through your smartphone.
The BauPVO has also introduced changes with regard to the CE labellabeling of windows and doors pursuant to EN 14351, Part 1. The declaration of performance hereby replaces the declaration of conformity. In addition, the new market regulatory agency has tightened the monitoring of CE labels.
